There are basically three types of companies in Czech Republic, talking about legal persons:
1) S.r.o. Company (counterpart of the Italian limited liability company s.r.l.) which can be established with a minimum capital of only 1 (one) Czech koruna. (From 1.1.2014 the minimum limit of 200,000 Czech Korunas considered for the company’s capital was abolished )
2) a.s. Company (counterpart of our stock company) for which you must pay up a share capital of 2,000,000 (two million Czech Korunas, about 76,000 euro with today’s exchange rate)
3) SE Company (European Company, governed since 2005 by a European law which considers a minimum share capital of EUR 120,000)
All these companies can belong to a single shareholder (similar to what happens in Italy with the one-man s.r.l.) who can also act as director and auditor at the same time. For a.s. and SE companies we can support you during the set-up phase of the stock capital.
